Mildred Miyoko Waialeale's Obituary
Mildred Miyoko Waialeale, 95, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on March 30, 2024, in Maynard, Arkansas.
Millie was born on September 9, 1928, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a dedicated sales clerk and office clerk at Sears Roebuck for 30+ years. She graduated from McKinley High School and enjoyed various arts and crafts, including crochet, sewing, embroidery, hula, listening to music, traveling (especially to Las Vegas), and walking for fitness. Nana loved and cherished each and every one of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jo-Ann Rodrigues (John), Puanani Waialeale Kemp (Russell), Richard Waialeale (Mary), and Clarence Waialeale (Sabrina), Grandchildren Christopher-Jon Rodrigues (Joy), Sherrie Waialeale (Edgar), Sara Waialeale, Rachel Waialeale (Brandon), and Xan Waialeale.
Great grandchildren: Kelsey Rodrigues (Adrian), McKenzie Waialeale Agonoy, Maya Waialeale Gouveia, Tristan Waialeale Agonoy, Justin Rodrigues, and Milo Damas; Great great grandchild: Alaya Prado.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lincoln Waialeale, Jr., father Shoyei Shimabukuro (Margaret), mother Kiyoko Tomari, son Daniel, and siblings Masayuki Shimabukuro, Allen Shimabukuro, Fumiko Welch, and George Tomari.
Millie worshipped at New Hope, Oahu, and found solace in her faith. The Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe, HI, is assisting with the funeral arrangements.
