Mitsuko "Mitsi" Arakaki Presnall 's Obituary
Mitsuko Arakaki Presnall
Mitsuko Presnall, 96, died on May 29, 2013 at her home in Kailua. Mitsi was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. She moved to Oahu where she met and married her husband, the late Ralph Presnall. Mitsi was an avid gardner and spent many hours “talking” to her many plants. She played the harmonica, and shared her love of music with her children by paying for their piano, trombone, oboe and flute lessons.
Mitsi loved to stay busy, so even her retirement years were full. She spent over 6500 hours volunteering at Castle Memorial Hospital, was a loyal fan of the UH Rainbow Volleyball Team and enjoyed taking aerobic classes.
Mitsi is survived by her son Verne Presnall of Hilo; her daughter, Sunya Porter of Canby, Oregon, her son Sidney Presnall of Kailua; and her daughter Tanya Pouls of Santa Cruz, California; and six grandchildren.
Private services have been held; In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Castle Memorial Hospital in her memory.
