Muilana Shane, 80, of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, in the place she called home all her life. She was born on February 7, 1946, in Honolulu to her loving parents, Joseph and Abigail Calles.
Muilana dedicated many years of faithful service as a clerk at Fort Shafter, where she was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and warm smile. She took great pride in her work and formed lasting friendships with colleagues who admired her kindness and quiet strength.
Above all, Muilana cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, LeaAnn Barcenas and Naome Shane, who carry forward her legacy of compassion and resilience. Her grandchildren, Laynelle Barcenas and Landon Barcenas, brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Muilana will be remembered for her gentle spirit, devotion to family, and the love she so freely gave. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
