I met Nancy back in the mid-1980's when we both worked at Canadian Pacific Airlines (CP Air). She was so smart, and so good with people, she could handle an irate passenger & put them at ease. After our shifts we'd walk to the airport parking garage together & talk story. She was an excellent listener and she always showed how much she cared. What a wondeful human being the world has lost. My heart goes out to her family, esp her grandchildren as she spoke so often about them, so proud & so fondly.

I’ve learned so many life lessons from my dear friend, Nancy, by the way she treated people, and animals, with such a beautiful caring spirit! I watched how she gave her love and time to others without hesitation.

Two scriptures come to mind when I think of Nancy.

“And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Nancy was a true example of a “giver” and an “encourager”. I am so blessed to have been her friend!

I've known Nancy since college, met here when she and Mike first started dating. She was a force right from the start. After heading off to begin careers, we all reconnected through the Honolulu Marathon. Nancy ran it, the rest of us jogged it. From there, we spent a lot of happy hours hiking the Ko'olau Range. Short hike up Mariner Ridge overlooking Waimanalo became a favorite. That led her to Waimanalo Blues representing her love of music, particularly Hawaiian music. That song became our personal anthem and something we shared for a lot of years. We love Nancy and wish her God speed. She will always be a part of us and our lives will be a little lonelier without her.
