Narciso Antolin Burgos' Obituary
Narciso Antolin Burgos, 84, of Elk Grove, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, died on March 16, 2014, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in South Sacramento surrounded by loved ones. He was born on Nov. 17, 1929 in Abaca, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. A former high school math and science teacher in the Philippines, he immigrated to the U.S. and retired as a hotel worker at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports on T.V., keeping up with world news, and playing the lotto. He is survived by wife, Soledad C. Burgos of Honolulu; daughters Caroline (Pat) Omandam of Elk Grove and Rhonda (Alroy, Jr.) Choy Foo of Honolulu; sister Teresita Ecube of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at St. John the Baptist Church in Honolulu. Public viewing will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by a mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Valley of the Temples at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at the Valley of the Temples, Chapel Lanai.
