Nathan Bernard Naehu's Obituary
Nathan Bernard Naehu, a resident of Kailua, Oahu passed away on February 9, 2017 at the Castle Medical Center. Nathan was born to Marguerite (Chung) and Moses Naehu in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 17, 1932. He was 84 years old.
Nathan was a retired ticket agent for Hawaiian Airlines and a United States Army Veteran.
Nathan is survived by his constant companion, his cat - Whitey; granddaughter and caregiver, Lorie Silva (Keali‘i Motta); brother, Abraham (Joan) Naehu of Pearl City; step-sons, Robert D. (Edith) Kapoi of Maui and Theodore (Gladis) Kapoi of Reno, Nevada; step-daughters, Betty Jones of Kentucky and Marie Navales of Kailua;
son-in-law’s, Rudolph Ahlo of Kailua and Wardell Young of Waimea; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Kapoi of Waianae; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Nathan is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria J. (Perez) Naehu; parents, Moses and Marguerite Naehu; step-daughters, Barbara Ahlo and Pamela Young; step-sons, Samuel Kapoi and Jerome A. Kapoi; brother, Moses Naehu.
A Memorial Service for Nathan will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; family visitation from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.; public visitation and service 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.; inurnment to follow immediately at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Committal Shelter.
