Nathaniel Lail's Obituary
Nathaniel Lail, 33, passed away on July 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage 4 metastatic bile duct cancer, which he was diagnosed with in February 2026.
Nathaniel was born on October 28, 1992, to Kevin and Edna Lail. He was a graduate of Farrington High School, Class of 2010.
From a young age, Nathaniel was drawn to the discipline of martial arts. He began training in karate as a young boy at the JIKC Honolulu Dojo and continued his practice for over 20 years. His dedication earned him a 4th degree black belt and an instructor license — a testament to his perseverance, focus, and commitment to the art.
Professionally, Nathaniel was a Licensed Massage Therapist and worked at Massage Envy, where he applied his knowledge of the body and wellness to help others.
Upon his diagnosis, Nathaniel faced his illness with the same determination and discipline that defined his life. He set out to fight the cancer head-on, enduring treatment with strength and resolve. Ultimately, he succumbed to the disease and passed peacefully at home, surrounded by those who love him.
Nathaniel shared 11 years with his devoted girlfriend, Kristelle, who was a constant presence and source of love in his life.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Edna Lail; his girlfriend, Kristelle Baysa; and his sister, Cynthia Rassilyer, her husband Bryce, and their three children, Teddy, Olivia, and Henry.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Milliary and Lucrecia Bolosan, and Robert and Jeanette Lail.
Nathaniel will be remembered for his quiet strength, his lifelong dedication to martial arts, his kindness, and his willingness to help when called upon. He was a great friend and will be deeply missed.
