Norine Miu-Han Ng's Obituary
Norine was an active participant with the Central Oahu Special Olympics team for the past 35+ years. She loved being part of team Terminators and no matter the outcome they always had fun.
Over the years she participated and medaled in various sports such as swimming, bowling, figure skating, track and field, softball, outrigger canoeing, and a few other sports. Through Special Olympics, she was able to travel with the team to the following places:
1989 International Winter Special Olympics in Reno, NV & Lake Tahoe, CA (figure skating)5th Place
1991 International Summer Special Olympics in Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN (team bowling) SILVER
2003 Special Olympics World Games in Ireland (swimming) GOLD
Norine loved traveling to new places and experiencing new cultures and tasting exotic foods. One of the last few trips she was able to make was a family vacation to Japan and also another one to Alaska on the cruise ship.
"Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." This is the motto of Special Olympics athletes.
