Numeriano "Junior" Tangaro Tampon Jr. 's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Numeriano “Junior” T. Tampon, Jr., 47, of Pahoa, Hawai'i. He was born on March 20, 1966 to parents, Priscilla & Numy Tampon, Sr. He was the second out of four children and the only son. He attended Kahuku High School. He earned his Culinary Arts Degree. After graduation he began his career as a Chef, then later in life he became a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver with Excavation Tech. Junior lived in Hilo, Hawai'i. Some of his important events in his life were spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. Everyone Junior met became "a special friend." His favorite hobbies and pastimes were chicken fights, fishing, diving and watching football. He was loving, joking and smiling person with a special laugh. He loved listening to Classic Rock from the 80‘s and 90’s.
He was survived by the love of his life wife, Marlene Eleneki; son, Ryan (Manu) Tampon (of Hilo); daughters, Cherie Tampon (of Kauai) and Tierra Madrona (of Hilo); hanai son, Jaston Eleneki (of Pahoa); parents, Numy Sr. and Priscilla Tampon ; Sisters, Lita (Reggie) Torres and Gina (Peter) Kaupe (of Arizona) ; 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, uncles, aunts, granduncles, grandaunts, numerous cousins; predeceased in death by sister, Emily Anne Keliihoomalu.
His visitation will be held 9:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Mission of Saints Peter & Paul- Waimea Bay; with prayer service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Additional visitation and service to be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary in Hilo; times to be announced later. Burial to follow 1:30 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park.
