Oscar Vergara Peralta's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Oscar Vergara Peralta, 63, of Waianae, Hawaii, who passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018.
He was born on October 5, 1954 to Eufrocina (Vergara) and Federico Funtanilla Peralta in Brgy. Taleb, Nagbukel, Ilocos Sur, Philippines; he was the second of three children.
Oscar attended the following schools: Narvacan National Central School and Samson Technical Fashion School. Her earned and obtained a Diesel mechanic certificate.
He worked at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel; he started in housekeeping as a runner, was promoted and retired as a general maintenance engineer.
Oscar married Angelita Capa Pagaduan on February 4, 1981 in San Antonio, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He lived in the Philippines, migrated to Hawaii; resided and lived in Honollulu and Waianae, Hawaii.
Oscar was a humble, nice, loving and hard-working man who loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, feeding and caring for his livestock, traveling and building things.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angelita Pagaduan Peralta; son, Allan Peralta; daughters, Juliet Peralta (Michael) Dela Cruz and Joanne Peralta (Randy Cinco); three grandchildren; brothers, Efren (Imelda) Peralta and Edilberto (Amy) Peralta.
Celebration of life and wake service for Oscar will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary in Kaneohe; visitation from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with service to begin at 6:30 p.m. His funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Kalihi (640 Puuhale Road); visitation to begin at 9:00 a.m., Mass at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow 12:00 p.m. at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe.
