Patricia Zelma Hanna's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Patricia Zelma Hanna, born on December 2, 1916 in DuBois, PA, where she lived until 1933. Her parents were Kos Irwin and Zelma Osborne. She was the 2nd of 2 children. She attended the following schools: DuBois High School, Hanneman Hospital (Nursing) and University of PA. She earned the following degrees: BS Science and Master Public Health. After graduation, she began a career as a Nurse at Hanneman Hospital. Then she worked in Nursing and then various roles in nursing for the State of New Jersey where she retired. She also worked as a Nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Honolulu. After serving for 38 years, she retired in 1974. After retirement she was involved in helpinto to raise her grandchildren, her art and various cultural activities. She lived in Magnolia, NJ, Lanikai Kailua and Kaneohe. She was married to Edward Hanna on February 19, 1940, whom she met at Hanneman Hospital. She was a forerunner for Working Women and was a smart, strong, loving, organized and compassionate person. The most important events in her life were graduation, motherhood, marriage and grandchildren carrier. Her favorite hobbies, activities and past times were art, coaching and reading.
She is survived by son, Edward Robert (Kerry); daughter, Patricia (Bernie) Boltz; Partner, Frank Henry Alejandro; Grandchildren, Brian and Graham Boltz.
Visitation will be held 10:00a.m., Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Chapel with burial to follow at 11:00a.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
