Patrick Le Roy Masakazu Kawakami's Obituary
Patrick Le Roy Masakazu Kawakami, 83, of Kaneohe, passed away October 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Honolulu on October 8, 1935 to parents Patrick Mitsuo and Olivia Puaala May Kawakami. He is a member of the Kamehameha Schools Class of 1954. He retired as a pipefitter general foreman from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and was also employed at Japan Travel Bureau for 11 years. He dedicated over 30 years of his time and heart to coaching Pop Warner Football for the Moanalua Warriors and the Kahalu'u Broncos.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Virginia Kawakami; son, Stewart (Mary Ann) Kawakami; daughters, Sydney (Cliff) Kawakami Wicklund and Traci (Jamie) Kawakami Wong; grandchildren, Blaine Keanumakani Wicklund, Brett Keau'ikaika Wicklund, Kehamaulani Austin Wong, Mary Kate Kukonaalaa Kawakami and Alexis Kamakakuokalani Kawakami.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Bishop Memorial Chapel-Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe.
