Patrocinia Balmaceda Apuya's Obituary
Patrocinia "Sining" Balmaceda Apuya joined our Heavenly Father, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2024.
She was blessed with 95 glorious years. She was born in Lagangilang, Abra in the Philippines on August 10, 1928 to Catalina and Felipe Balmaceda. In 1961, she married Rufino Apuya, Sr. and moved to Hawaii in 1966. Patrocinia cared for her children at home before joining Aloha Stadium as a porter for 20 years and retiring in 2006.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her brother Claudio Balmaceda and his wife Dominga, and her sister Juanita Bermudes and her husband Donato. She is survived by her children, Fino (Mary Ann) Apuya, Jr., Patrick Apuya, Shirley Ann (Edwin) Dayton, and Ranier Apuya; grandchildren, Raynalyn Apuya, Keanu Dayton, Reaves Dayton, and Jessica Apuya; and many nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at the Co-Cathedral of Saint Theresa Church on June 11, 2024. Viewing is at 10 AM and mass is at 11 AM. Her final resting place will be at the Valley of the Temples at 2 PM.
