Patti and I shared so many memories and have had so many laughs together over 20 years. Our lives were so much alike, we could have been sisters. Many thought we were. We parted ways but I never lost the hope that one day we will once again laugh together. Life without her has been tough and now it is final. I will never be able to tell her just how much I really missed her in my life. She will always be the sister I never had. Patti will always hold a piece of my heart. Patti loved to laugh and I loved making her laugh. All the lunches we had together was laugh after laugh. She loved animals and it was because of her vollanteering at the Humane Society is how my daughter got her first puppy. We were waiting in the parking lot for her to finish working in the cat house when a lady came with a few puppies and we saw them, fell in love with one in particular and we still have her. 14 yrs later. She helped raise my daughter. Patti played an important role in her life. It does take a village to raise a child and Patti was a member of our village. Life is unfair sometimes. I can only say "Patti, I am so sorry". Glenn, I understand. Please find the strength to carry on. I know how much you love her and how much she loves you. Please, I ask from my heart, if there is anything I can do for you, please call me. We are all so very sorry for losing your true love. God she loved you. Stay strong Glenn.
Dear Glen,
Patti was a valuable member of our radio and book narrating volunteer program at the Hawaii Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. She contributed more than 700 hours through 10 years of service to our patrons. Her recordings allowed persons who where visually impaired a source of access to information not otherwise available. We remember her fondly.
Personally I remember how she would say 'don't eat the center of an Oreo' because it was pure FAT. Also that you must eat romaine lettuce. It was the best. She was very concerned about our health and what we ate. I now smile with the memories. Thank you, Patti, for being a member of our library family. Thank you, Glen, for sharing her with us.
