Paul Jacob Kealoha's Obituary
Paul Jacob Kealoha went home to the Lord on February 23, 2021. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 51 years, Faith, son Joseph, daughter-in-law Mayona, and grand-daughter Chloe. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel, sister-in-law Jane, and sisters Theresa Kealoha and Margaret Wong. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Daniel and Marie Kealoha. He was born in Honolulu, the eldest of four children. Paul graduated from Maryknoll High School. He served in the US Air Force for four years and retired from the Hawaii Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant, after 31 years of service as a skilled Jet Mechanic. He was also a proud member of the Royal Guard.
Paul was very strong in his faith. He served as a lector, eucharistic minister, collection counter, and also on many committees at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace and at St. Philomena Church for many years. Paul was the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all of his family and friends. He and Faith loved to travel together and frequently traveled to their favorite destination spot, Las Vegas. He was a living example of love, compassion, humor and dedication to his family. He will be greatly missed, but lives forever in the hearts of his family and friends. We would like to thank the wonderful medical staff at Straub Medical Center, Care Center of Honolulu and Islands Hospice for their wonderful care. Services for Paul will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, 1184 Bishop St. Honolulu, Hi. 96813. Doors open at 9:30am and Mass will be celebrated at 10am. Viewing and burial are private.
