Paul Kiu Suk Suh's Obituary
Paul Kiu Suk Suh, age 89, of Kailua, Hawai’i, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022. Paul was born on March 9, 1933, in Gwangju, Korea. He survived both Japan's occupation of Korea and the Korean War. He came over to the United States as a student, first going to University of Kansas and then Cornell University for his Ph. D in physics. He then worked for NASA and Grumman, literally making him a rocket scientist.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bernadyn Kim Suh, of Kailua, Hawai’i; his son, Christopher H. Suh, and Chris’ significant other, Susan Wald-Thomas, both of Charlestown, Massachusetts; and his son, Jonathan Injong Suh, of Forest Hills, New York. Dad always said his greatest accomplishment was his children. Chris is a partner at a prominent law firm and Jonathan is a Certified Public Accountant with a leading global bank.
After a long career in the state of New York, Paul moved with his wife to Hawai’i to spend his golden years. Dad enjoyed writing science fiction, working on physics, as well as taking care of his health and fitness. He will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.
