It's only been three weeks since you left this life taking a big part of me with you. I still call the phone in Ewa only to hear your voice. It soothes me to hear your voice. I will never forget it as long as I live.

But you lived a long life. You provided nurturing love in bringing us up. You gave untiringly to provide for our needs. You were the glue that kept the family together. Now it is time for you reap the fruits of your labor here on earth.

Dear Ohana ~ John & I have a great memory back in 1969, on a visit to Oahu when I introdued John to the family. Aunty Peggy & Uncle Brother generously invited us & other Ohana to their home, & prepared all kinds of ono food.. especially the shrimp curry.. John never forgot. Of course, You all have so many other memories of a Mother who was blessed with family & a full life. We Loved Aunty Peggy! I remember my Aunty Peggie as loving to golf at the Pali golf
course and getting stuck on the 19th hole, which is where she
found the sweet smelling ginger blossoms and would do some
pruning, bringing back an arm load of flowered stems. She was
my dads (Bushy) cousin and when my mom (Lani) was dying 15
years ago I remembered when she called and talked her days
before she died that made my mom happy. My dads sister
Lani Olivera of Hana just died on Sat. Nov.5th so she'll have
company probably on the 19th hole up there and Dad (Bushy)
won't be far behind as he is falling a lot and has broken ribs
from it and into dementia, he just got out of the hospital and is
back in the rest home on the mend. He has some long term
memory and talks Hawaiian and sing old Hawaiian songs but
no one understands him so I will go over and sit with him a
while and tell him his sister Lani has passed away. At 93 he is
still hanging in there he remembers his cousin Peggie so he
will talk stories of the past.
My Love and prayers are with all of you.

Grandma,
I am so happy that God granted me the opportunity to come home and care for you in your final days. Those few nights we spent together have made your passing much easier to beir. Not many of us have the opportunity to laugh, cry, and tell eachother how much we love eachother before we part. I will cherish that forever. Although I am far away, I am who I am because of your love and support. I thank God for having you in my life. You have raised us well. I know you are in heaven with grandpa, auntie Char, and all the rest of the family having 'good fun'. Your work here is complete, lay down you burden and rest, says the Lord. I love you!! Lis
