Phillip Arnold Torres' Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Phillip Arnold Torres, age 82, of Waimanalo, Hawaii. Passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013. Phillip was born on June 18, 1931 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Fenando Torres and Ramona Saldania. He attended Aiea High School. After graduation he began his career as a Truck Driver with the Public Works Center with the U.S. Navy. He retired after serving 24 years. Following retirement he enjoyed taking care of his wife, Marie Joyce who he married on February 23, 1952 in Pacific Heights, his children, and his grandchildren. Phillip was a member of 3 days and 3 nights study Hall. He loved going to family gatherings and enjoyed working on cars. He was a strong-headed, independent, kind, caring, and loving man. He enjoyed listening to Hawaiian music. Phillip is survived by his wife, Marie Torres; sons, James (Lehua), Jack (Loreen), Glenn, Don (Audrey), and Gary Torres; daughters, Dale (Guy) Kaai’ai, Michele (Lawrence) Sanchez, and Phyllis Torres; sister, Elizabeth Ai; 27 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren
His services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30a.m. and service will begin at 11:30a.m. Burial will be at 2:00p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
