Phyllis Yolinda Piilani Wan Lam Ho Griep's Obituary
79, Pyllis Yolinda Piilani Wan Lam Ho Griep, of Kaneohe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 09, 2018. She was born in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii on September 01, 1939 to her parents Wallace Wan Lam Ho and Katherine K. Hoke. Phyllis was the oldest of her 3 other siblings. As a child she attended schools such as Ma'e ma'e elementary, Kaiulani elementary, 6th grade at Sacred Hearts. She also completed 1 year of college. Phyllis grew up in the Honolulu and then later moved on over to the windward side of the island, residing in the nice little town of Kaneohe in 1979. She worked for Dillingham Cooperation then later went to work at Hawaiian Tug and Barge for 47 long years, as the Head Dispatcher.
Phyllis was a very happy go lucky lady, she enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. She enjoyed helping her family and anyone she could. Phyllis was also a member of St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe. She is survived by her Children: Philip M. Griep Jr., Leslie Scot H. Griep and Danelle K.L.P Griep Kohler. Sister: Stephanie Jamile and Brother: Leroy T. Kawasaki. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 03, 2018 at St. Ann's Church; Visitation: 10:00 am; Eulogy: 11:00 am; Mass: 11:45 am; Burial: 1:00 pm at Valley of The Temples.
