In Loving Memory of Pui King Leung Cheng
Pui King Leung Cheng passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at the age of 95, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born in Nanhai, Guangdong, China, and later lived in Hong Kong, where she spent many years before emigrating in 1963 to Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. There, she devoted her life to her family, building a home grounded in traditional values of devotion, perseverance, humility, and selfless care for others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Po Shun Cheng, who passed away in 2017. Their marriage was built on dedication and mutual respect, and together they raised a close and loving family.
Pui King was a devoted homemaker and skilled seamstress, known for her cheerfulness, good natured laughter, and love of her children.
Family was the center of her life. She is survived by her four children: Lori Cheng Kurokawa, Gary Cheng, David Cheng, and Russel Cheng; her four grandchildren, Chase Kurokawa, Shae Kurokawa, Arissa Cheng, and Kai Cheng; and her treasured great-grandson, Sonny Kim-Kurokawa.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness was shown through her dedication to her family. Her legacy is one of unwavering love, sacrifice, and the strong family bonds she helped create and preserve.
Services for Pui King Leung Cheng will be held at Valley of the Temples , Kaneohe , Hawaii on March 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
