Rachel Jane Pacheco's Obituary
Rachel Jane Pacheco, 97, of Waianae, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born on October 28, 1920 to her father Domingoes and Mary Lopes (nee Ornellas) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rachel was the second oldest of five children. Throughout her life, she lived in Kahlihi Valley and then Waianae. Rachel married George F. Pacheco on June 06, 1940 at Our Lady of the Mount Church. She was a homemaker and caring for her children and grandchildren was most important to her. Rachel was a Cub Scout Den Mother and in her spare time Rachel enjoyed crocheting and arts & crafts. She also loved listening to country music and Elvis. She is survived by her children: Christine Lasconia, George F. Pacheco Jr., Melvin F. Pacheco, Allen F. Pacheco, and Charlotte Akiona; and her sister: Ethel Seguirant; 25 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; and 55 great-great grandchildren. Rachel is predeceased by her husband: George F. Pacheco Sr., her daughter: Barbara Rita; and her three brothers: Domingo Lopes, Harold Lopes, and John Lopes. Services for Rachel Jane Pacheco will be held on Monday, November 05, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation: 11:00 am; Service: 12:00 pm; Burial: 1:00 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery; with luncheon to follow: 1:30-3:00 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.
