Dearest "Mr. Shinbo", I am so sorry that I am unable to attend your services today. I just got released from the hospital last night. Since we were your neighbors, I've known you from about the age of four. With fond memories, I remember you as a kind man who exuded so much warmth with your endearing smile. You had an indelible smile on your face and don't ever remember you being upset. As a young child, I used to come over to your house (hope my brother and I weren't the pesky "Dennis the Menace" young neighbors LOL) to "talk" to your mom even if I couldn't understand any Japanese. She was the sweetest woman! I was so sad the day you and your wife moved away from your Palisades home; equally as sad I am that you are "moving away" from us again. However, I find comfort knowing you with be in a better place and in the company of your loving wife. I love you, Mr. Shinbo! Claire##imported-begin##Claire Oshita##imported-end##
