Rebecca Healani Hikalea's Obituary
Rebecca Healani (Lyman) Hikalea, born August 2, 1927 to Becky (Walker) and William Lyman in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rebecca passed August 10, 2016 surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Harilyn-Joy H. Kaalekahi (Roger), Charlene-Ann N. Pestrello (Rick), Michael Hale Hikalea (Brenda) and Myron Kaleiokalani Hikalea (Lucy); brothers, Alfred (Mele) Lyman and Robert (Veronica) Lyman; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hale Hikalea and son, Malcolm Ka‘aikaula Hikalea.
Rebecca touched many lives with her kind heart and loving ways. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going on trips to Laughlin and going to Las Vegas. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Rebecca worked for the Hanford Elementary School District as an administrative assistant in the food service department for many years.
Service for Rebecca will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. George Catholic Church (located at 41-1323 Kalanianaole Highway Waimanalo, Hawaii 96795); visitation from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.; eulogy: 11:00 a.m.; Mass to begin at 11:30 a.m.
Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
