Remy Agas Maneja's Obituary
With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Remy Agas Maneja, who peacefully entered eternal rest on June 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. On the day she celebrated her 86th birthday, God called her home, marking the completion of a life defined by resilience, sacrifice, and quiet devotion.
Born on June 16, 1940, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Remy married the love of her life, Francisco Maneja, at just 14 years old. Together they built a family rooted in love, perseverance, and unwavering devotion.
As a devoted wife and mother, Remy dedicated herself to caring for her home and raising her children. Later, she and Francisco lived on Oahu and Maui. During their years in Hawaii, Remy worked as a presser at a laundromat until her retirement. Through her hard work and quiet sacrifices, she helped support her family and played an important role in helping many of her loved ones come to the United States.
Known for her quiet spirit and reserved nature, Remy appreciated life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed sitting outside, taking in the fresh air, and watching television. Above all, she always wanted to be around her family, no matter the occasion. Whether it was a simple visit or a special celebration, being with the people she loved brought her comfort and happiness.
In her later years, Remy was lovingly cared for by her only surviving daughter, Minda Dacuycuy, whose compassion, selfless devotion, and constant presence brought her comfort, dignity, and peace. In her final moments, she was surrounded by the family who loved her dearly.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Francisco Maneja; her sons, Vigilio Maneja (wife Brigida Maneja) and Julian Maneja; and her beloved son-in-law, Felix Dacuycuy.
She is lovingly survived by her only daughter, Minda Dacuycuy.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Perlas Dacuycuy-Calhoun (husband, Brandon Calhoun; children, Dawson Calhoun and Peyton Calhoun); Rocky Dacuycuy; and Tiffany Ann Dacuycuy; Alwin Maneja (wife, Normie Maneja; son, Allen Maneja); Wina Maneja (son, Zydee Maneja); Allan Maneja (wife, Janice Maneja; daughter, Zoe Maneja).
