Renee Antoinette Fonoti's Obituary
Renee Fonoti, 69, passed away on February 24, 2018 at Queen’s Medical Center, Honolulu, HI. She was born on December 29, 1948 at Kapiolani Women and Children's Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii to Edward W. Borden Jr. and Ramona Forsythe. She was the oldest of 2 children. She attended Kaimuki High School and earned a High School Diploma. After graduation, she began her career with Hawaii Housing Authority as a Painter. After retirement she raised her grandchildren. She lived in Kapolei, with her husband Afua G. Fonoti who she married on April 16, 1969. She was a member of Latter Day Saints Church. Her grandchildren had renewed her sense of purpose after retiring. Her most important event in her life was meeting her ONLY great-grandchildren. She was known to be endearing, loving, and thoughtful. On times you could find her crocheting yarn leis and enjoying a cup of coffee with friends. She loved listening to Oldies music especially Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrel song “If This World Were Mine.”
