Rey: I will always remember the deer and goat hunts we went on and all the hilarious comedy we shared and participated in. Like you cooking the goat innards in the mountain cabin with the pungent aroma that only guts can produce, permeating the clear mountain air. Everybody had to dig outside to catch our breath and remembered you had warned us that you would be eating goat for breakfast, lunch and dinner! You did not need anything from the grocery store on this hunt! On another hunt with your nephew, you had an entire herd of goats in your sights but couldn't decide if you should shoot a picture of that amazing sight or take a shot. We stood watching, speechless as you picked up the rifle only to put it down to pick up your camera - three times!!! The herd ran off! On the home front, you shared the bounty of your fertile and productive Palisades hillside garden. Over the years we received countless home deliveries and in your company enjoyed gallons of coffee and pounds of calories, which you lecture on, of course. Oh and we have to remember all the risky adventures involving your wild pig trapping and endeavors in animal husbandry with numerous species, of which we either enjoyed your recipes or not. In conveying these memories, I feel your loss in the depths of my heart and mind. You left a body that served you well in all the ways that supported your character - one with nature. Your presence, seeing your smile, hearing your laughter and special way of saying "you know," in explanation, will live in our memories. We'll see you later Rey!
Your brother-in-law Rick
P.S. I'll never forget Washington D.C.!!
