Rhoda Kauinohea Simeona's Obituary
Rhoda Kauinohea Simeona, age 79, died at her home in Kaneohe, on March 25, 2012. The cause was natural death, Rhoda passed away in her sleep.Born March 10, 1933 in Kaimuki, she lived on Oahu throughout her lifetime. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ikeole Simeona and sister to 17 brothers and sisters, Rhoda is the last of her siblings to leave this earth leaving behind many heirs to a wonderful bloodline, of Hawaiian, and Dutch-English ancestryShe had a natural ability to sing and play several instruments, the ukulele especially, which she shared with those willing to join her. She had so much aloha.Toward the latter part of her life she found her passion spending many years documenting her genealogy and learning about "Hawaiian Sovereignty" which brought her years of a rich and fulfilling life although she spent her last years with failing health.Survivors include sons Eugene Simeona, Robert Ueda, daughters Beatrice Naniho, Karen Handy and Jeannie Ueda, 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildrenWe also remember her beloved daughter Margaret Soren who passed not too long ago...Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
