Richard Duck Leong's Obituary
Kaneohe (HAWAII) – Richard Duck Leong, 85, of Kaneohe quietly passed away on August 7, 2022, at home in Kaneohe.
He was born September 24, 1936, in Honolulu to Chock Quon and Kam Ngam Leong. He was reared and educated in Kapahulu and Kaimuki graduating from Kaimuki High School in 1954. He married Marion Leilani Kupahu on October 5, 1958. He moved the family to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1964 where he worked as an airline mechanic for United Airlines until he retired in Hawaii in July of 2002. In retirement he enjoyed running, biking, hiking, traveling, and wine tasting. His spirit and aloha touched many and he will be missed.
He is survived by his son Curtis and sister Agnes Lau of Kaneohe.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10am to 1pm at Diamond Head Mortuary. A brief service will be followed by brunch/lunch. Casual/aloha attire requested.
