I met Rick when we were both 29 years old and I came from Ohio to work with Rick at HMSA on Project Loihi. We instantly hit it off as friends and Rick has always inspired me. I was very proud of Rick for following our Lord and using his gift for Jesus. That has also inspired me to use my gifts for HIM as well. I moved back to the mainland in the late 90s and have thought often of Rick. I am saddened by his smile leaving us, but I am so thrilled for him to be home. We are not far behind you, my friend.

in honor of Rick .

Sincere Condolences to the Botelho Family. I played Little League baseball with Rick in Kaneohe growing up. Ended up leaving Castle my Sophomore year to go to MPI and occasionally through out the years bumped into Rick around town. Always had a great smile and am sure has passed that along to his family and friends. Now live in Portland Oregon since 1997 and visit the islands on occasions which I still call home. Aloha Rick
