Robert Warren Bain's Obituary
Robert Warren Bain, 75, passed away on June 3, 2020 in Ewa Beach, Hawaii with his caregiver at his side. He was born to Clarence and Wilma Bain in Gulfport, Mississippi during WWII. He lived in his mother’s home town of Madrid, Iowa, graduating from Madrid High School, lettering in 4 sports (football, basketball, track and baseball) and a BS in Math from Iowa State University.
He served as a weather forecaster with the US Air Force for 5 years, during which time he met and married his wife. After his service, he moved to Oahu and got his Masters degree in Computer Science at the University of Hawaii. He retired after over 20 years with a computer software company working on various military bases.
Playing golf is something that he has enjoyed even though he didn’t always have the time. After retiring he started playing 5 days a week. Unfortunately, he had to stop when he found he could no longer remember the way to the golf course due to Alzheimer’s disease.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of 50 years, son Austin, daughter Tara (Justin) Goshi, brother William (Janet) Bain, and 4 grandchildren.
Private services will be held on July 20, 2020. Please contact family for information.
