Robert Tunu Maloata's Obituary
Robert Tunu "Bob" Maloata, beloved husband, father and brother, passed away September 27, 2016 at the Tripler VA Center for Aging in Honolulu at the age of 58. Born in Honolulu to parents Faaulu Maloata and Inosia Leiato Maloata, he was a retired United States Navy Master Chief E-9 and former aircraft mechanic supervisor for Aloha Airlines. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dennis Sabado Maloata, and brothers, Neal Maloata and Raymond Maloata.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Myrna Sabado Maloata; daughter, Remy Malia Maloata; brother, Dennis J. Maloata; sister, Lottie Maloata-Martin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 830 Main Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96818 . Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at 12 noon at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. A reception will follow the burial at the Valley of the Temples Chapel lanai from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
