I just found out that the funeral services is today, January 19th. I met Uncle Robert when he and Aunty Helen opened their home for Aunty's birthday party years ago. Even though he wasn't able to speak, his presence was very warm and welcoming and I remembered his eyes all lit up when we were talking stories, laughing and joking around in the living room. Like so many of my friends, we will always remember how he courted Aunty Helen by walking from Manoa to Waipahu back in the day. That is truly a testament of love.
My condolences to the family during this difficult time. Uncle Robert and Aunty Helen are greatly loved.
