Roberto T. Siu's Obituary
Roberto T. Siu
Beloved father and grandfather, Mr. Roberto Siu, quietly passed away on April 11, 2016, at Queen’s Medical Center. He is survived by 6 children and 12 grandchildren. He was devoted to making a better future for all his children and extended family. Upon his arrival to Hawaii in 1971, he worked two jobs to support his wife and children so they could have a better life and achieve higher education than he had. He purchased a pizza parlor, Bob’s Pizza in Kalihi, woke up 5 in the morning to make Siu’s Sesame Peanut Candy, took a quick nap, and headed for a second job as a chef at Sheraton Waikiki until 11 at night. He believed America was a great opportunity and tirelessly advocated his extended family to come here. He was tenacious, high-spirited, generous, and family oriented. He will be extremely missed!
