Celebrating the Life of Rogelia “Helen” Viernes Medina. Born on April 14, 1948 in Cauayan, Isabela, Philippines where she lived until 1971. Her parents were Moniquito Aquino Viernes and Avelina “Belen” Daguio Viernes. She was the youngest of 6 children. She attended Isabela High School where she earned her high School Diploma, after graduation she began her career as a Seamstress with Kreative Kamaaina Inc. She retired in 2011 after serving 31 years. After retirement she was involved in raising the grandkids and gardening.
Rogelia’s most important events were the birth of all her children and grandchildren and baptism.
She was a blessed, loveable, honorable, happy and a fulfilled woman who enjoyed planting, gardening, shopping, sewing, bible studies, and crafts.
She is survived by sons, Anthony Morgel (Ellene K.) Medina, Antonio “James” (Florence S.) Viernes Medina and Verly (Josephine Aquino-Medina) Medina; daughter, Maylani “Lani” Medina; grandchildren, Crystal Jade Medina, Joshua James Medina, Rachel Faith Medina, Kristin Paige Medina, Lauren Natalie Medina, Alexander Medina-Brown, Jonah Monico Aquino Medina, Johannah Leezel Aquino Medina, Christian Joseph Aquino Medina, Amanda Rose Bolosan, Aaron Bolosan Jr. and Kainoa Issac Medina; special friends, Auntie Dena Domingsil, Auntie Filomena Ramelb and Mrs. Jean Ito.
Visitation: 9:30-10:30a.m., Wednesday May 6, 2015 at Kalihi Union Church; service: 10:30a.m., with burial to follow 1:00p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
