Romeo J. Felipe's Obituary
Romeo Juan Felipe passed away peacefully after nine years of stroke and eight years heart failure with pace maker, in her daughter Grace’s Aloha Assisted Living, Sacramento, California on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. His two daughters Grace and Vera were by his side at the time of death. He was born on July 16, 1942, to Domingo Felipe and Candida Juan in Laoag City, Philippines and he was the third child of four. He was divorced and just nine months passed when his first wife Aurie was departed.
He worked as Mechanic in the Department of Motor Pool of Vehicles at Laoag City before he migrated to U.S.A on July 1972. It was a big challenged for him in working of different jobs like Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co., Inc. just to provide the needs of his Ohana left behind in the Philippines. He also owned yard services house to house. That’s how he met the owner of Ono Hawaiian Foods in the late 80’s and worked as a Cook from part-time then full time till August 2012.
Roming as everyone called him he was hard working, loving and kind to extend help and share what he had to his family, relatives and friends.
In his spare time he continued his passion as Mechanic and collected cars and not to believe he owned two Porsche, Jeep, Pick up trucks, 4 X4.
On Sunday’s masses at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace he served as Usher/Greeter. He was 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Domingo Felipe and Candida Juan; and his youngest brother Eddie Juan Felipe
