I remember when we first met at Kalihi Bowl. I was new to league bowling and you helped me out learning about league bowling. I am very thankful for that.
We never got to see each other that much after bowling, but I do remember seeing you around town a few times, and if I remember correctly, at my workplace.
I will remember you always.

My Dearest Desiree, my niece;
The pain in my heart is so great. I will miss my brother and forever he will be in my heart.
I am so greatful for the dedication of love you showed him. It was you, who made it possible for us to see and be with my Brother. It was you,who drove him down to Waianae at Tammy's house to be at our parties. It was you who made it possible for our "lunches" with cousin Jane, Allison, Ben Jr, cousin Benny and yourself. It was you who made him live these last three years in mom's passing. I saw that loneliness in him without mom. But I saw too, that he was happy "hanging out" with you smiling, eating, taking pictures, traveling outter Island and even to Vegas. You made this happen not just for him but our entire family. You made it possible for us to share love among each other as FAMILY. It was you who gave him a "spot" on Face Book` which he so enjoyed.
He is with mom now and with all that is in my heart I thank you for everything you have done. Though, caring 24/7 may had been overwhelming at times the memories are all yours. I am proud of you and love you dearly.
Thank you also to the rest of the family who helped you out and stood by your side. Thank you also to mom's side of the family who loved my brother and enjoyed his time with them.
Please,take care of yourself because for one, you know how much Dad loved and appreciated you and he would want to see you now moving on with Love, Happiness and good Health. Please take care of yourself.

Ron who do I call "Joe" now? You were my Joe and I was your Joe. I will miss your quiet and almost shy ways.
I remember the times that you only ate the chili that Joe (me) made. It made me feel so good because I hardly ever cooked and for someone to rave about my chili was just awesome.
There were times that I could see the pain in your eyes yet, you never complained. You never made a fuss when you had to sit all night in the wheel chair while, we did our annual "walk for life" at magic island.
I know you missed Becky, your soul mate, your best friend the love of your life everyday of your life. Yet, you managed to keep your missing and crying silently in the dark behind closed doors. Now, you are together again living a life of no physical pain and eternal happiness.
We will keep you alive through all the good memories
we shared. And, you will always be my one and only "Joe". You will be missed but never forgotten.
Des, I must say your caring for dad was a job well done. Even dad knew how much you sacrificed and how much of yourself went into his well being. Des, I commend, I admire and I respect you for all that you are. And above all, I love you for being you.

To My Dearest Niece Desiree:
These past years, you gave up your life to take care of my brother. It was a job that someone would only do because of true and pure love.
My brother was blessed to have you, his youngest daughter as his caretaker.
This was a 24 hour job with no breaks or time-outs. There was no difference between day or night for you.
You spent endless hours at home and at Straub Clinic with doctor appointments and Dad going in and out of the hospital.
With so much going on at the same time you never gave up and always showed love and care for Dad
For you…every second and minute of Dad’s life was in your hands.
I want you to know Dad really appreciated you and loved you very much.
He always told me “I don’t know what I would do without Desiree. She does everything possible for me. I love that girl.â€Â

When I first started stopping by the house Papa asked, “You travel far everyday you know how to change a flat tire? I said “Noâ€Â. Well needless to say he thought that was important because he didn’t want me stuck on the side of the road someplace between town and Waialua so he taught me how to change a flat, oil and filter, regular tune up, and drop a transmission. Boy…did I save big time on maintenance. He used to laugh at me though because even if my hands were in the engine and all oiled up, I refused to take off my jewelry. I told him it was because I wanted to stay in touch with my girlie side.
After that was done he got brave and asked if I bowled…the rest was history. The money I saved from the maintenance of my car went to bowling…it was all in fun though. I think teaching me how to change a flat was an excuse to ask me to bowl…he should have just asked, I could’ve done without the dirty fingernails. (LOL) Thanks for everything Papa and the next time I hear rolling thunder, I’ll know you got your new bowling league started…Rest in Peace.

UncleRonald always had a smile on his face when i saw him (a sly smile). Always asked me who I belonged to up until the last few months when he saw us often as Desiree always brought him along as we planned the family reunion. It was always fun to joke around with him. We'll surely miss your smiling face and your fun jokes. Love you, Victor's wife (Lorena) ha ha! I remember the first time I ever stepped foot in a bowling alley was at CHA3 with Uncle Ronald and the rest was history. I remember bowling on the same team with him and against him. I repected him as an uncle and a bowler. I remember the good times we had at his house on the weekends and spending New Years at his house. Oh what a show the Someras would put on with the fireworks display. He and Aunty Becky were very generous people and always concern for families. Although I now live in California, I'm going to miss him when I come to visit Hawaii. R.I.P. Uncle Ronald and when you get to see Aunty Becky, don't forget to tell her we miss her.
