Ronald Walter Musa's Obituary
Ron Musa, 53, a safety analyst and retired military veteran of 23 years, passed on December 28th 2016 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The cause of death was carcinoid cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Gracelyn Musa, with whom he shared marriage for 27 years, and his son Glenn Musa.
Mr. Musa was born in Aberdeen, Washington to Jeanne and Arnold Musa and attended Columbia River High School. He honorably served in the United States Air Force as a munitions systems craftsman in the rowdy AMMO troop and was stationed and served in wartime in Arizona, Germany, and the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm. At the tail end of his active duty service, he moved into occupational safety where he worked as a safety analyst at the city, state, and federal level.
He was known for his gregarious personality, compassionate disposition, love for teaching, improving the quality of life for workers, and the Seattle Seahawks. He often worked with newly relocated airmen and their families to welcome them to the military community and advise them on local resources and safety precautions.
Survivors include his wife, Gracelyn, his son Glenn of Washington D.C., his mother, Jeanne Ferguson of Vancouver, WA, and his four sisters: Dona Williamson, Patti Rae, Teri Jones, and Karen Ferguson of Washington state.
