Darlene Keeno
Aloha Karen and 'ohana of the late Ronald Vicens -
My family and I extend our deepest condolences to you on Ronald's passing. He was a very kind man. He was good company for me while I would visit my dad, Allan, who was his roommate at Maluhia. I'll miss his wit and words of encouragement. I'll always remember calling him "Ronnie Baby" and how he'd know who I was by seeing my shoes under the curtain, even before I would speak. He could see the bright side of life, despite his circumstances. Ronald was also good to my mom, who'd spend many days with my dad. They would sing songs, and reminisce about the good old days and "small kid time". My mom named him the "watchman" of room 312, because he was the only one in the bunch who could speak.
I find comfort in knowing that somewhere out there, he and my dad have met up again -
Ronald is dancing and eating ono food, and my dad's having a great conversation with him - something they haven't been able to do in a while.
Please take care and may God bless!
