Rosalina "Rosing" "Rose" Lapitan Labaniego's Obituary
Rosalina “Rosing” "Rose” Lapitan Labaniego, 79, a resident of Kapolei, Hawaii and formerly of Kalihi, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. She was born to Santiago Lapitan and Faustina Cordero in Sinilian Barikir, Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines on March 3, 1937. She was a retired custodian for the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arcadio Francisco Labaniego; beloved roommate and companion, Uilani Daguro; siblings, Inocencia “Sabina” Rivera, Feluminada “Luming” Mangrubang, Flaviano “Biano” Lapitan, and Celestino “Ole” Lapitan.
She is survived by her children, Erlinda “Erli” L. (Jerry) Daguro, Robin L. (Ella) Labaniego and Emilda “Mel” L. Labaniego; two grandchildren, Nicolette “Ashley” Daguro and Robin “Robbie” Lapitan Labaniego, Jr.; sister, Cipriana “Juana” Adona; nephews and nieces.
Celebration of life services for Rosalina will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary (located at, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); visitation will be from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., eulogies to begin at 6:30 p.m., with a wake service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the Valley of the Temples Chapel (located at 47-200 Kahekili Highway Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); Mass to begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow 12:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
