Roy Tadashi Nakamura's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Roy Nakamura
February 20th, 1939 - December 6th, 2025
We gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Roy Nakamura, a man whose hardworking hands and kind heart touched everyone around him. His story began in Honolulu, HI, and his journey remained rooted in the place he always called home.
Roy’s drive was clear when he served in the Army for 3 years, a time that reflected his discipline, strength, and dedication. He later started a new chapter as a carpenter in construction. Friends and family admired how his supportive nature paired with steady responsibility turned every project into lasting workmanship.
Away from the job site, Roy’s joy shone brightest on the golf course, on outdoor adventures, and during lively trips to Las Vegas. His amazing memory often sparked warm laughs as he recalled every scorecard or travel detail with ease.
Roy’s proudest treasures were his daughters, Shannon Nouchi and Sherri Nakamura, and his one grandchild Kensi Fukuda who lit up his later years. He showed them daily that kindness, courage, and commitment build the strongest foundations in life.
