Samuel Douglas SolomonSunrise- 11/05/1952 Sunset 09/07/2011Born in Honolulu, HI and raised in Kalihi, Sam loved with family in Thousand Oaks, CA for 20 years. He will return to his beloved island and be laid to rest at Hawaiian Memorial Park, January 20th, 2012. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Leonora Iwalani Solomon, daughter Lenell K. Solomon, and son Shawn Douglas E.H. Solomon. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul, Arthur, Moses, Walter and Clyde Solomon along with sisters Ellen (Kay) Solomon, Ruth Onaga, Cheryl Meheula, and Linda Brub. Sam's love for music, amazing voice, and guitar playing made him a favorite amongst his many family members. He was always the one to "get the party started". We were blessed to have had Sam in our lives and he will forever remain in our hearts. Memories of Sam will be sure to put a smile on your face.A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, January 20, 2012, Visitation: 12:00pm; service at 1:00p.m.; burial to follow; aloha attire.
