Samuel Guillermo Ramos' Obituary
Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, Diamond Head Mortuary, and Valley of the Temples is saddened to announce the passing of Samuel Guillermo Ramos. We are honored to be serving the Ramos family during this time.
Samuel G. Ramos, 77, of Honolulu, passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was born in Ragas, Marcos, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on August 29,1946 to Esteban and Carmen Ramos. He had six siblings who all lived in the Philippines:
late Gregorio Ramos (Intang), Ernesto Ramos (late Nerza), late Gloria Gacula (late Rafael), late Marina Ramos, late Margie Ramos and Fidel Ramos.
Samuel (Sammy) is survived by his wife, Leonila (Leoning); his children: Jenniver (late Domingo), Wealth (Joseph), Sinamar, and Darwin (Elena); 4 grandchildren: Jayrald (Sara), Janelle (Joshua), Caitlin (Jordan) and Aiden; and 2 great grandchilden: late Candace and Neo.
Sammy and Leoning lived in the Philippines where he was a landowner, ran a prominent rice mill business and was trained as an electrician. In 1978, the family moved to Hawaii where he worked at Honolulu Poi, until he retired, and while running a successful landscaping business.
He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandson. You would most likely find him under THE tree relaxing and cooling off, reading Bannawag and/or listening to his music.
Sammy's favorite color was red. The family will be wearing red and they welcome you to wear red as well to honor his memory.
