Samuelu E Togia's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Samuelu E. Togia, born September 30, 1940 in American Samoa, Island Manua. To Esikielu Togia and Talamanua Togia. He was the 4th of 13 children. He attended Central Intermediate and Roosevelt High School. After graduation he began his career as a Welder and Carpenter. He retired in 2010 after serving for 50 years. After retirement he enjoyed his spending time with his grand kids and great grand kids. Samuelu lived in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. He married Madeline Leslie on April 16, 1966 in Oahu. He was a member of Areto O Le Ola. He loved God and believed that God is his Doctor and that prayers are his medicine. His special friends include Madeline Leslie and all his sisters. He enjoyed looking after his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The most important events in his life were raising his family. His favorite past times included walking and exercising. Samuelu was described as humble, giving, loving, caring and shared with everyone. He enjoyed country and Christian music. He is survived by ex-wife, Madeline Leslie; son, Wayne Togia; daughter, Lisa-Ann Logan; brothers, Elekana, Faitala, and Fuasavali Togia; sisters, Punaluu Augafa, Faaoi Asuega, Maua Muagututia, and Suati Motu; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
His services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Bread of Life Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30a.m., service at 11:00a.m., and burial will be at 1:00p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
