Severa Acosta Bagaoisan's Obituary
Severa Acosta Bagaoisan, 98, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii surrounded by family. She was born on September 22, 1926, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to the late Telesforo and Dorotea Villa Acosta. Severa earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Northern Luzon Teachers College, Philippines in 1947. She taught at various elementary schools in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Severa and her late husband Moises Duldulao Bagaoisan migrated to Hawaii in 1978, she was employed at Hawaii State Poultry and later at Hawaiian Building Maintenance where she retired in 1994. She is preceded in death by her husband, Moises Duldulao Bagaoisan, oldest daughter Emy Magcalas, three sisters (Paula Damo, Basilia Acosta and Artemia Tandoc), and two brothers (Isaac and Modesto). Survived by her children: Melvida (Andres) Ramos, Medel (Denia) Bagaoisan, Henry (Joyce) Bagaoisan, and Apolla (Roland) Benito; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held on:
Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 5pm-8pm
Friday, September 26, 2025 from10:30am-12:00pm. Burial to follow at 2:00pm
All services will be at Valley of the Temple Memorial-Makai Chapel. Burial at Valley of the Temple
