We celebrate the beautiful life of Shigemi Hashimoto, who shared 99 vibrant years with family and friends. His journey began in Honolulu, Hawaii, and carried him across nearly a century of change, progress, and joyful memories.
During World War II, Shigemi answered the call to serve his country with the same loyalty and humility that guided every chapter of his life. Those wartime years shaped a spirit that stayed Responsible and Hardworking long after his uniform was folded away.
Returning home, he built a solid career as a painter in the construction industry. Each project reflected his steady hands and unwavering commitment to doing every job right.
Away from work, Shigemi found calm and color in his orchid collection. Tending those delicate blooms showed the same patience and care he offered to the people around him.
Family remained his proudest accomplishment. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Gwen H. Harms and his son Leiton Hashimoto, who carry forward his example of integrity and kindness.
Formerly from Honolulu, Hawaii, Shigemi passed peacefully in Gilbert, Arizona, leaving a legacy of quiet strength and loyal service. Today we honor him with gratitude, knowing his humble wisdom and hardworking spirit continue to brighten the lives he touched.
