Shizue Nakama's Obituary
Shizue Nakama, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and homemaker, passed away January 14, 2017 at the age of 94. Born February 13, 1922 to parents Kama Maenaka and Kame Tsuhako Maenaka, Shizue and her husband were the owners of Valley Meat Market in Palolo. She was preceded in death by her husband Yoshio Nakama.
Shizue is survived by son, Allan (Phyllis) Nakama; daughter, Lynn R. Nakama; grandchildren,Lynelle (Mark) Marble, Melissa Nakama, Gregory (Jae Yeon) Park, Kui Nakama; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Miyashiro, Dylan Miyashiro and Aiden Park; sisters, Gladys (Charlie) Chinen, Laura Maenaka, Lois (Edwin) Yagi.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m. Service of Remembrance 6:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Graveside service Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
