Simeon Agullana Tabieros' Obituary
Simeon Agullana Tabieros passed away on September 11, 2024 in Ewa Beach, was born on January 1, 1931 in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was the oldest among four siblings, including Aniceta Eligio, Alex Tabieros, and Natividad Mariano, and was the son of Segundino and Matea Tabieros.
In 1958, he moved to San Juan Rizal, Metro Manila, Philippines. On March 3, 1969, he married Rosita Rivera Lagazo, and together they were blessed with six children, Juanito “Johnny”, Myrna, Danilo, Raul, Perlita “Pearl”, and Simeon Jr. “Sam”. In 1969, he immigrated to Hawaii, with his son Juanito following in 1970, and his wife Rosita along with their five children arriving in July 1971.
Simeon became a member of the Local 630 - Plasterers & Cement Masons Union in March 1970, working as a cement finisher. Over the years, he was employed by various companies, including Swinerton, A.C. Kobayashi, Hawaiian Dredging, and Pacific Construction. Additionally, he took on weekend handyman jobs to support his family. After dedicating 22 years in his profession, he retired in 1992. There was a ceremony honoring him and others for their years of service. He was recognized for his remarkable 50 years membership at a general meeting held in September 2022. He enjoyed 32 years of retirement until his passing.
His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family will be cherished forever.
Simeon’s life was a testament to hard work, resilience, and the importance of family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
