Sinforoso Agcaoili Yasay
August 1, 1932 – February 25, 2017
Sinforoso “Pusong” Agcaoili Yasay of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away February 25, 2017 at home at the age of 84.
Sinforoso is the eldest of three children born to Maximo and Anastacia Yasay in Salanap, Pinili, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Sinforoso was retired as ground maintenance for the Moanalua Gardens Park in July of 2003. He was a hardworking man, never missed work, and responsible husband and father/grandfather/brother/uncle. He was healthy and very energetic. Some of his pastime after he retired was to cooked his favorite meal, walked around the neighborhood, went to downtown and Chinatown, and enjoyed listening to Ilokano songs on KNDI radio station. His favorite TV shows were Wheel of Fortune and Wrestling.
He is survived by beloved wife Carolina Yasay, 7 children: Virgilio (Teresita) Yasay, Nelia Pacol, Melita Anicoche, Vicente (Edralin) Yasay, Villamor (Melody) Yasay, Villadon (Valentina) Yasay, Venelyn (Kevin) Deiner, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, youngest brother: Alberto Yasay (Adelaida), numerous nieces and nephews.
Wake services will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation at 5:30 - 9:00 p.m; prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
An additional visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park at 9:30 a.m. with burial to follow at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
