Ursula Retherford
Suzie, dear friend, my comrade-in-arms, I can't believe that you are gone - gone so suddenly. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your years of active engagement in protecting the quality of life in our residential neighborhoods and of our community. I shall miss you, your e-mails, phone calls, political exchanges, testimonies, and presence at hearings. You spoke up for what is right. You sacrificed much of your time and finances to seek justice under the law for the rights of those living in residential zoning. You may be gone, but the lovely memories of you and of your caring and gutsy spirit will remain with us forever. So will your hard fought, precedent-setting legal case, Cummings vs. Roth, which confirmed the negative impacts of transient vacation rentals on the quality of life in residential neighborhoods. Suzie, you made a difference that will always be remembered. Thank you for it, and for always being there.
I will truly miss you. May you rest in well-deserved heavenly peace.
To your lovely family, my deepest condolences and thanks for sharing you so generously with us. May the knowledge of how much you were loved and appreciated by your community be of comfort to them.
Ursula
