Tamotsu Sahara's Obituary
Tamotsu Sahara, 94, of Honolulu, passed away on May 28, 2015. He was born on July 18, 1920 to Daijun & Nami Sahara; he was the 4th of 5 children. Tamotsu was a 1938 graduate of McKinley High School. He furthered his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Hawaii. After graduation, Tamotsu began his career with Soil Conservation Service, WPA and then eventually retired as a Land Classification Specialist with the University of Hawaii.
He served in the United States Army from 1946-1947 and was very proud to be a Veteran of World War II.
Tamotsu is survived by wife, Ruth M. Sahara; sons, Ralph H., Kenneth Y., Thomas S.(Yvette) and Leonard J. Sahara; daughter, Gail N. Sahara; 3 grandchildren, Mark, Christie and Kurt Sahara.
Visitation: 10:00 -11:00a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel
Service: 11:00a.m.
Inurnment: 2:00p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
Family is requesting NO flowers and casual attire.
